The room was clean and nicely presented, and the food was good. I also had a room facing the track, which was a big plus, and the hotel itself is impressive and well located. The main letdown was the evening service, as most of the staff seemed miserable. Only two of them interacted with customers. I’d planned to charge my car over breakfast before heading home, but none of the roughly 20 chargers worked. That added an hour to my journey. It would have helped to be told at check-in so I could plan around it. Still, I had a pleasant stay.

The two sim rigs were free to use and a lot of fun. I spent quite a while on them learning the circuit. The hotel is especially handy when there’s an event at the track, though the location clearly affects the price. We had an excellent experience, with super friendly staff, a lovely hotel, a great breakfast, and a very good evening meal.

I could see Silverstone race track from the hotel, with the racing cars going by. I was there for an awards ceremony with my workplace. The room was a nice size and had all the essentials, including toiletries, though I brought my own. The toilet and shower room was nice, there were plenty of towels, and the bed was comfortable. The one thing missing was water for making a hot drink.

The staff at reception were friendly, and the servers were excellent. I even had a funny chat with one of them. The hotel and facilities themselves would get five stars from me, but one experience at breakfast left a bad feeling. On two separate mornings, I came down in my work uniform and a staff member looked me up and down before asking if I was a hotel guest. It felt like an assumption based on my head-to-toe orange hi Viz, rather than a routine check. I’m a civil engineer, and wearing that on site is essential. Being made to feel as though someone dressed for work couldn’t be staying here wasn’t kind. I understand the Hilton at Silverstone race track attracts a certain market, but nobody should be made to feel they don’t belong because of their bank balance or appearance. Once I gave my room number and reception confirmed I was staying, the staff member was all smiles. I won’t name them because I don’t want them reprimanded, but I hope they’ll be kinder while still making the checks they need to make. The rooms were fantastic, with a Sky Sports package that let me watch footy after work. It’s a great location, especially during Formula 1, and the hotel was very well kept. There’s free parking and a lovely restaurant with a good choice of meals.

Breakfast was nice, though nothing special, and the staff were friendly and very helpful. My room was modern, comfortable, and spacious, with good air con and plenty of room for my stuff. The car park view was cheaper, and the bridge to the wing was a lovely touch. Great hotel in a prime spot.
