The staff were lovely, and the food was the best we’ve ever had in a restaurant. My son’s steak was honestly the best steak we’ve ever eaten, and yes, we’re the sort of family who all try a bit of each other’s food. My wife’s roast chicken was lovely too, served with both light and dark meat, which was a nice touch. I had the lamb neck, cooked so perfectly it was amazing. Then dessert, the warm chocolate mousse was a tenner well spent.

Had a latte and a pint of scrumpy here, and really enjoyed both. The open fire is lovely when it’s cold outside. It seems like a really nice place, and it’s just down the road, so I’ll be back to try the food, which I’ve heard is very good. Even better, we can bring the Weiner too.

The slow cooked Welsh lamb neck was a real highlight, and the food and wines were delicious. We stayed at this lovely hotel in a beautiful village and found the service very friendly. Nothing seemed too much trouble, and all the staff were keen to help. I’d recommend the pub quiz, held on the third(?) Friday night of the month.

The puddings were a perfect finish to a really good meal. The restaurant is simply brilliant, with delicious food, a very good menu and excellent service. Well worth the trip up from Aberystwyth.

Tracy and her colleagues were incredibly welcoming and helpful when we arrived on motorbikes in torrential rain. They took our wet gear to the drying room, and the bar was a fantastic place to warm up. The rooms were good, with excellent, powerful hot showers. Dinner in the restaurant and breakfast were both excellent. We liked it so much that we came back the next day for lunch. Definitely try the Welsh rarebit.
