The open fire made it especially cosy on a cold day, and my pint of scrumpy was thoroughly enjoyable. I also had a latte. Seems like a really nice place, and since it's just down the road we'll be back to try the food, which by all accounts is very good. Even better, we can bring the Weiner too.

The Welsh lamb neck, slow cooked, was a particular highlight, and the wines were excellent. It's a lovely hotel in a beautiful village, with delicious food and really friendly service. Everyone was keen to help, and I never felt that anything was too much trouble. The pub quiz is worth considering, on the third(?) Friday night of the month.

The puddings were a perfect finish to a very, very good meal. The menu was very good, the food delicious, and the service excellent. This is a review of the restaurant, and it was simply brilliant, well worth the trip up from Aberystwyth.

We liked the place enough to come back the next day for lunch, and the Welsh rarebit is definitely worth trying. Dinner and breakfast in the restaurant were both excellent. After arriving on our motorbikes in torrential rain, Tracy and her colleagues made us feel completely welcome and were friendly and helpful. They took our wet kit to the drying room, and the bar was a fantastic spot to warm up. The rooms were good too, with excellent, powerful hot showers.
