The grounds have such a calming feel, and the house itself is stunning. The bed was comfy, and Robin and Brenda were fabulous hosts. Definitely book the full stay with dinner and breakfast. It was all farm fresh, and Robin cooked brilliantly, even catering so well for my vegan friend, which is rare. I travel this way often and will be back.

Robin's imaginative cooking made a real difference for me as a vegan. Let them know when you book and breakfast will be a proper treat. My omnivore husband was happy with his full English too. We felt welcome as soon as Brenda and Robin opened the door. Our room at Causilgey Manor was spacious, spotless and lovely, with a really comfortable bed. Fresh flowers, tea, biscuits and ensuite toiletries were thoughtful extras. We had a wonderful stay, and the five-star rating hardly seems enough. We'll definitely return. Thank you, Brenda and Robin. Amanda and Nick Xx

It was easy to relax while the toddlers played safely in our garden. The owners were friendly, and there was a welcome pack waiting when we arrived. Our rooms had lots of character and looked beautiful. They'd provided a stair gate, cot, baby plates and cups, plus towels, washing-up supplies, tea and coffee. The hamper with bread, butter and jam made us feel very well looked after. Beaches and shops are about a 15-minute drive away. The lanes are narrow, but we got used to them. Highly recommended.

The journey to the property was quite an adventure. I missed the directions they'd emailed, but we made it in the end. Once there, we got a lovely cup of tea and cookies from Robin and Brenda, who were kind and happy to help with anything. Our spacious, gorgeous room was peaceful, with a great view, a comfortable bed and a lovely shower. Breakfast was cooked to order by Robin and was all tasty. I especially recommend the scrambled egg with black garlic. The flowers, toiletries, cookies and bathrobes made the stay feel special. As a dog lover, I was delighted to meet their three cute poodles.

The vegan dinner was the best I've eaten. It was served with the kind of care and presentation you'd expect at a fine restaurant, yet the setting was intimate and relaxing. Robin and Brenda were professional, kind hosts who went out of their way to meet every requirement. Causigley Manor is a stylish manor house in a fabulous country setting. It's hard to find a B&B that caters well for vegans, but they really excelled. I'd recommend it to anyone who enjoys fine dining.
