Robert is a very helpful proprietor, and the cottage has plenty of character. The fixtures aren't standard and the interior has a vintage Dr Who feel, so you need to be comfortable with that kind of quirkiness. In the evening, it's about a ten-minute walk to the coastal path towards the hidden hut and beyond, which is out of this world.
There are trails for different abilities, and it's a fantastic spot for walking dogs. A river runs through the woodland, which is lovely to explore. The cafe has a good range of light meals and snacks at reasonable prices. Highly recommended.
A relaxed, dog-friendly place where you can make yourself at home. The art and antiques give it a really eclectic, quirky look.
