This family-run B&B is a lovely spot for exploring the St Mawes peninsular and further afield. The room was great, and we could see the sea not far away. Parking was easy, the hosts were friendly and good to talk with, and breakfast was excellent with plenty to suit different tastes. They couldn't do enough for us.

We found Monterey House easily using the Garden Centre as a landmark. Sandy & Don gave us such a warm welcome when we arrived in mid February that we felt at home straight away. Our room and bathroom were a good size, the bed was comfortable, and breakfast was superb with lots of variety. It's well placed for touring both the southern and northern coasts, and about 45 mins from Eden Project. For evening meals, we liked The New Inn at Veryan (3m) and the quayside St Mawes Hotel (7m). Highly recommended.
