The scallops and linguine were faultless, and the food was fantastic. Service was warm and friendly. If you like good ingredients cooked perfectly, I can’t recommend it enough.

Really tasty food, spot-on service and a relaxed atmosphere. Would recommend a visit, and I’ll definitely come back if I’m nearby!

We live in Sarasota, Florida and have been coming to Tywyn for the last two years. We’ve eaten here quite a few times now, sometimes planned and often at the last minute because we know it’ll be good. The menu is simple but full of impact, with high-quality ingredients that Scott takes care to source, and you can taste the difference. We’ve tried the mussels, lobster roll, curries, soft shell crab, mussels in linguine, seabass and the caramel Biscoff cheesecake. The seabass was incredible, and the scallops were the best we’ve ever had. The desserts are fabulous too. Scott, the owner, is friendly, down to earth and clearly knows food. Tilly, our waitress, was attentive and genuine. They made my boyfriend’s birthday special with candles in the cheesecake, and the whole restaurant joined in singing “Happy Birthday.” If you’re in Tywyn, Salt Marsh belongs on your to-do list.

We had an amazing mix of dishes: scallops, pork belly bao buns, Korean cauliflower and tempura mackerel to start, then kids fish and chips, a Seafood Goan Curry and Lobster Thermidor for mains. We finished with coconut panna cotta and Biscoff salted caramel cheesecake, both epic. The specials menu was immense, and there were great options for kids. The food, menu, service and atmosphere were all fantastic. I’ve eaten at a huge range of restaurants across the UK, including Michelin and AA places, and this was one of my favourites. Don’t hesitate to stop here if you’re in the area!
