Lonsdale House Hotel

We only stayed for a night while passing through to Scotland, but this spacious, beautiful apartment would be great for a longer visit too. It has everything you could need and sits right in the town centre. We’ve stayed in the Lakes before and had some favourite restaurants, and the location was perfect for getting to them. Parking nearby was easy. Couldn’t ask for more.

The apartment was spotless throughout, beautifully presented and had every amenity we needed. The bed was very comfortable, the room was quiet, and the bathroom was clean with a great shower. Check-in was easy, with clear instructions sent before our two-night stay at Lonsdale House Boutique Apartments. It’s in a great central spot near shops, bars and restaurants, with convenient parking directly across the road and another option close by. We couldn’t recommend it more and will definitely be back soon.

Parking charges here are much cheaper than elsewhere in the Lake District, and the car park is directly opposite, right by this great central location. Lonsdale house is immaculate, all white, clean, shiny and new. The apartment has what you need for a short stay, with a well-equipped kitchen, though we only used the kettle. There wasn’t a bottle opener, but we improvised. The bed was a bit soft for me, but probably fine for anyone under 50! Highly recommend.

These apartments are ideally placed for exploring the local area. The building is Grade II listed, with a lovely garden and a very modern interior. The shower is a good size, and the sofa bed was very comfortable.
