We had a brilliant time in this quiet corner of Cumbria, with the Duddon estuary and Ulverston easy to reach. The site is great, and the toilets and showers are a real bonus. Those showers may be the most powerful we’ve ever used! There are lovely walks at Sandscale Haws nature reserve, and a pleasant afternoon can be spent walking or riding along the Ulverston canal to the sea, then calling at the pub at the end. We also recommend the little foot ferry from Roa Island to Piel Island to see the “king”. We definitely hope to return. Thank you, Tracy.

We were glad to come back after a few years away and are already looking forward to another visit. I checked availability and reviews on ukcampsites, then gave Tracey a quick call to book a cheeky night away. The welcome was warm, the views are fantastic, and the facilities, two family rooms and another loo, were modern and immaculate. I almost don’t want to rave too much, as I’d like to keep a pitch free for myself now that I have more time to tour. Many pitches slope a little, but our 8m Motorhome was levelled with a set of Triple Milenco. There’s loads of grass around the hard standing pitches. A visitor arriving after us drove onto it between us and our neighbour, apparently thinking it was another pitch! They also have a B&B on site, handy for friends or family who don’t van.

The shower block and facilities are great, and Tracey was lovely and made me feel welcome. I spent two nights here, including a good wet run up the hill. I’ll be back for sure.

We had a wonderful time in a lovely area. The site is beautiful, the hosts are friendly, and the toilets were clean with very good showers. It was also great value at £20 a night in August 2025. One thing to be aware of: this is a working farm with lots of livestock, so dogs aren’t permitted.

Waking up to those amazing views makes this a place we’ll definitely return to regularly. It’s a lovely little site, the facilities are great, and the toilet and shower block is immaculate. Tracy is really helpful and friendly.
