The owner was really friendly, and the house is cute and comfortable, with amazing views and plenty of trails nearby. But it was quite dirty, especially the kitchen tools, and there wasn’t enough cutlery for our group of six. We expected it to be in the middle of nowhere, but a tearoom right next door was busy and made the spot noisy. There were also huge spiders everywhere.

The bedding was fantastic, and the toilet and bathroom were clean. The entrance area could use a better clean, though, and there were cobwebs in the kitchen drawer and behind the TV stand. Even so, I’d still recommend Roaches holiday cottage to family and friends.

The rooms were clean and cosy, and the cottage had everything we needed. The location was perfect too. Only downsides were no WiFi and weak mobile coverage.

The cottages were spacious, modern and really comfortable, with a nice rustic feel. They stayed lovely and cool in the June heat, and felt great value for money. Sleeps six.
