The breakfast was delicious, and the shower was excellent. The room was clean and neatly organised. The owner was friendly and efficient, and communication was clear and well timed. It's a lovely spot, and I'd stay again. A friendly country pub.

We had the continental breakfast and really enjoyed it. A cooked breakfast costs extra. The woman on staff was wonderful, welcoming and helpful with information about the area. Our double room, number 4, was very tidy, though there was a thick, dirty old cobweb behind the armchair and black marks on parts of the walls. The mattress was soft. I slept well, but my wife didn't, though I know mattress comfort is hard to get right for everyone. We stayed two nights in a nice, quiet location. We didn't try the bar or the tapas-style menu.

Peta, the manageress, was exceptionally kind and welcoming, and the service from her was first rate. Our room was clean and comfortable for all of us, grandchildren included. We loved the tapas dinner, and hats off to the chef. We had a wonderful stay and will return next time we're in the west country. Thanks, Peta, for looking after us.

A lovely little find in the village, with a big car park and a clean, tidy room. The hostess was polite and engaging, and the food was excellent. You can get a cooked breakfast for an extra charge. It makes a good base for exploring the surrounding area.

Peta was friendly and welcoming, and the bunkhouse was warm, comfortable and had all we needed. The hot tub was a nice extra. It’s a great little find, and we really enjoyed staying there. Longleat Safari Park is ideally located for a visit from here.
