The Pityme Inn

Having a place to work when my local internet went down made a stressful day much easier. The pub welcomed me without hesitation, and I could settle in, get work done, and enjoy great food and drinks. The atmosphere is relaxed, and the staff are so friendly and helpful that nothing seemed like a bother. I’m proud to call this our local. It has a real community feel and is just a lovely place to be. Huge thanks to the whole team for going above and beyond.

I’ve never had a bad meal at the pityme, whether we’ve visited for Christmas Day or one of the meals in between. Last night’s Valentine’s Day set menu was another great one. The food is outstanding, beautifully presented, high quality, and very well priced. Service is amazing too. You never feel rushed, and the whole place has such a friendly, relaxed feel. The staff tick every box. It’s my favourite place to eat, highly recommend it!

The Sunday lunch was tasty, and the portion was reasonable. It wasn’t the cheapest, which I suppose is down to the location, but we left happy. We came with family on a recommendation and weren’t disappointed. The service was very good, friendly and welcoming.

We had a strange split experience. Dinner was excellent, with friendly, helpful service, and the staff were good natured. The rooms were comfortable, though small, and the website gives a misleading impression. They felt like Portakabin fit outs, even if they were comfortable. The next morning, nobody was serving breakfast, and one staff member seemed to be managing everything alone. The bill had been closed out overnight on their site, and it felt as though nobody gave a damn. Half excellent, half non existent.
