Dale Hill Hotel & Golf Club

The pool was lovely and warm, and the golf pro shop staff were brilliant. We played twice, and although the course was wet, it was great fun and the greens were still fine. We stayed for two days in the annexe. The rooms were brand new, warm and very comfortable, with a great shower. The food was amazing, and all the staff were helpful and friendly. I’d definitely recommend it.

The staff were lovely, the food and atmosphere were reasonable, and the golf was fab. The accommodation varied quite a bit, though. I was in the older part of the hotel and had a single bed with a saggy mattress and a view over the drive up to the hotel. Others in our group had lovely large rooms with double beds and views, so I’d suggest asking for a good room before you arrive.

The hotel was very nice, and both dinner and breakfast were excellent. We had a great couple of days with two rounds of golf, though both courses were tough and very hilly, which made scoring difficult. It’s in a good location and well worth a visit.

The golf courses are stunning, though Woosnam is much harder to walk, so I’d recommend taking a buggy. We had great food and a fantastic suite after staff promptly upgraded us because of a problem with the door lock. The hotel and staff were fantastic, and the rooms were great.
