The location was fantastic, we felt safe, and there was plenty of free parking. Check-in and checkout were easy, and the host was kind and flexible about our arrival. The cabin and room were both spacious, with a practical layout, plenty of storage and power outlets. The kitchenette was lovely for making basic meals, with a toaster, kettle and small fridge. There were lots of windows that opened, all with blackout blinds, which we really appreciated. A few things let the stay down. My husband and I found quite a bit of hair in our towels, even though they seemed to have been laundered. The beds felt uncomfortable, like we could feel the springs, although the sheets and pillows were good. Some shower tiles were coming off, the kitchen chairs had crumbs on them, and the kettle still had water left from the previous guests. There was no air conditioning, so we got pretty hot. The windows opened and the host provided a fan, but a flat sheet would have been nice instead of just the comforter on warm nights. It was a pleasant stay, though not quite what we expected from a four-star motel, and definitely not bad.

We stayed here for one night on our way home from our main holiday. Such a lovely spot, with clean, tidy and really well-equipped accommodation. We’d happily recommend it and stay again.

We used this clean, spacious place as our base for a weekend exploring Bedgebury Forest, and the beds were very comfortable. The woman who checked us in was friendly, and they’d left basics for us: bread, milk, cereal, butter, jam and spreads. The one thing I missed was a nice lamp for the evenings. The main lights were quite bright and took away from the cosy feel.

I stayed for two nights with four other people. Our room was lovely, clean and so cosy, and the outside area was cute too. Someone I knew was in one of the wooden cabins, so I had a little look inside, and it was just as nice. I’d recommend the place and would definitely stay again.

There are six duplex rooms and four log cabins at this motel. We got a warm welcome, and continental breakfast supplies were provided, including tea, coffee, orange juice, bread, butter and cereals.
