Marygate by Deuce Hotels Ltd

The rooms were nice and clean, and the location is fantastic, right in the town centre near the station and all the bars and restaurants. It’s an amazing find. I’d prefer king-sized beds instead of doubles.

The apartment was tidy, comfortable and very clean, with good TV and Wi-Fi. It was cleaned daily and is right in the centre, close to everything. The nearby pub’s music was extremely loud, though, and kept us awake until well after midnight.

There was good space for the money, and the apartment felt like good value. The double glazing kept things quiet, and we’d probably stay again when visiting Wakefield. A few odd details: there was just one bedside light in a double room, and we could have used another towel. There’s also a concrete overhang on the stairs that should be painted or padded, since we both hit our heads going up.

I used the place for a night out, and its Westgate location was perfect. The room was clean, roomy, comfortable and well equipped. The kitchen area was a useful bonus, especially for a longer stay, since it has what you need to cook fresh meals. I’d recommend the accommodation and will likely use it again. The outside of the building and the stairwell aren’t very inviting and could use a thorough facelift. Also, the room sockets don’t have built-in USB ports, so bring an adaptor. Those are minor gripes.
