Premier Inn Wakefield City North

We liked having the Brewers Fayre ‘RhubarbTriangle’ right next door, with good meals at reasonable prices. The hotel was close to central Wakefield but far enough out to stay quieter. Teresa at reception was lovely, very friendly and full of useful information. Our roomy twin/family room had a large double and a single bed, plus a bath with a drench shower over it. It was easy to reach on the second floor by lift or stairs. Room cleaning was by request, which suited us fine. We enjoyed it enough to book another stay with Teresa before leaving.

The hotel was quiet, the bed was comfortable, and the receptionist was really helpful and friendly. I was there for one work night. The room was clean enough, though the TV was a bit unreliable. I also couldn't work on my laptop in bed because all the sockets were too far away.

Leanne on reception came to my rescue with a spare phone charger, and even politely turned down a drink when I offered one as thanks. Bosses, take note: a consummate professional. Check-in was quick and efficient, and my room was immaculate. Across the way, the restaurant was packed at 6pm on a cold, wet December evening, with wonderful hospitality. The room got really hot without air conditioning. They do provide fans, which helped a little. Otherwise, the hotel was fine as usual.
