Hamiltons Boutique Hotel

Debbie was a lovely host and even let us leave our bags for a few hours after checkout. Our room at Hamilton Boutique Hotel was lovely, with a comfy bed and a great shower, and breakfast was delicious. The location worked perfectly for us. We had a fantastic stay and would happily return.

We got a warm, kind welcome when we arrived, and breakfast was the best I’ve had in a long time, easily 5 star. The room was very clean and comfortable, with up-to-date furniture. Great location, though there’s a traffic warden street nearby.

The balcony room was a treat, with an extraordinary view over the estuary and pier. It’s high above the seafront activity, so it stayed peaceful, and even on a searingly hot day the room was cool and comfortable. Debbie kindly adjusted our arrival time to fit our social plans. She and the team at Hamiltons are excellent. The hotel sits on one of Southend’s few streets with real architectural distinction, with decent fish and chip places nearby and the beach and swimming right at hand. Breakfast was really tasty, with gently poached eggs on fresh avocado. Boutique hotels don’t always deliver, but this one does. Thanks, Debbie. We look forward to coming back.

Debbie, the owner, and her staff were so helpful, and I’d highly recommend staying here. We loved our top-floor room, which was lovely and well equipped, with fantastic views across the estuary. Breakfast was 5 star too. We found this little gem on booking.com, and we’re most certainly coming back.
