The Queens Royal

We had a private room with its own bar and separate toilets for an 80th birthday party. The room was beautiful and the whole event was absolutely fabulous. The buffet was outstanding, with quality homemade food, including huge sausage rolls, Scouse stew and so much more. Everyone was commenting on how amazing it was. Service was great throughout, and the chef came out to say hello and chat. They also catered for nut and egg allergies. We'd highly recommend it and will definitely come again.

We had around 110 people at the party and had no trouble getting served at the bar. The staff were attentive, professional and cheerful, and the DJ kept the music going, with a bit of karaoke towards the end. The 2am licence gave us plenty of time to catch up with old friends and celebrate. For my 60th, we had a sit down meal for a number of people before the party in the main room. All 35 dishes were beautifully presented, tasty, hot and good value. Amazing work by the chef. The young lad with dark hair was very helpful and couldn't do enough for us. The whole team helped make it a special birthday. The venue was lovely, comfortable and fully renovated. I'd highly recommend it for a special occasion. Well done, Queens team, and thank you.

We only popped in for drinks, but Sue was lovely and showed us the menus. We were impressed enough to stay for lunch, and the food, service and atmosphere were all lovely, with tremendous value. We talked about Sunday too, and our parents have booked for this coming Sunday because it looked so good. Sue said the hotel rooms should be ready by April, though it wasn't an actual promise and we didn't put any pressure on her. We said we'd come stay as soon as they're operational and visit again. Can't recommend or rate it enough, try for yourself!

We came for a big family party today and had the steak. Oh my lord, it was gorgeous. The staff were friendly and lovely even though they were so busy, hats off to them. My daughter wants to know when we can go again so she can hear the singer and sax player and do the worm again. Highly recommend this pub. I'll definitely be back.
