The roast meat was tender, full of flavour and beautifully cooked, and there were generous portions with all the traditional trimmings done right. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming. You can tell they put care into the food and service. One of the best Sunday roasts I’ve had in a long time. I’ll definitely return.

We’ve been for the roast two weeks running, and it’s absolutely fantastic. The food came out piping hot, and the vegetables were delicious and more than enough. I just saw a bad review of a roast here and was shocked. They must mean somewhere else. We’ll be going back again.

After the Wenhaston Walkers event, our meal at the Wangford Plough was a lovely end to the walk. The staff worked hard to take such good care of our group and were welcoming and friendly. The atmosphere was lovely, and there was plenty of choice for everyone. The food was excellent, freshly prepared, beautifully presented and served in generous portions. Many thanks to everyone for making us feel welcome. We’d happily recommend it.

After a long hike, this place was just what we needed to relax and recharge. The service was amazing, the hotel room was lovely, and it was fantastic that our dog was welcome everywhere we went. Such a great find. We’ll definitely be back!

There were 14 of us in the area filming a well known TV programme, and the owners and staff couldn’t have been more helpful or accommodating. The food was faultless. I’d happily recommend The Plough Inn, and if we’re back in the area, we’ll definitely return. Thanks for having us!
