Being so close to the sea meant we could pop out for a quick dip and come straight back to freshen up. We also loved the bar room as a place to hang out before going out in the evening and again when we returned. Phillip was a great host, and our group felt at home right from arrival. Bishop’s Cottage has lots of character, from the old building to its decorations. We stayed one night and will definitely come back as a group.

The location and view were the real highlights, and it’s a lovely area for a night or two. The place is very dog friendly, with lovely walks nearby. Our room was okay, but the bathroom needs refurbishing and the room and bathroom weren’t the cleanest. Breakfast was fine, nothing special. Parking isn’t free, though you can get a permit for £5 for 24hours.

The people were very friendly, but the place is in such a state that it shouldn’t be operating as a B&B right now. It badly needs work to reach a reasonable standard. It was dusty, the bathrooms were in bad shape, and the windows didn’t work well. It felt unsafe for older people.

The pool was a real attraction, especially in good weather, and the location is another big reason to stay. We had a lovely one night visit. Phillip was a great host, our room was spacious and the breakfast was nice. It’s not perfect, but it was welcoming and we’d go back. We also left our 5-month olds soother behind, and Phillip kindly sent it back. That’s very hospitable.

The pool looking out over the coast is a lovely extra, and the location in the cove is the best. The hosts were incredibly friendly, and we had a spacious room full of coastal charm. It’s beautiful and great value for money. What a wonderful find. They made my birthday memorable, and we won’t stay anywhere else now!
