They wanted to charge me again even though I'd already paid through Expedia. I asked them to cancel the booking and stayed up the road at the red lion instead. The manager there was really friendly and got me a room straight away.

The owner was lovely, breakfast was yummy, and the beds were comfortable. Everything was spotlessly clean, with all the amenities you could think of and reliable free WiFi. The Tank Museum is perfectly placed for a visit, and Lulworth Castle isn't far away. Seven stars pub and ship Inn are both within walking distance. Street lighting is limited, but the host thoughtfully supplied a torch for the walk. I felt valued as a guest. Perfect.

We stayed for two nights and had a very comfortable, clean room. The host was friendly and easy to chat with, and the area is quiet. Just bring a torch if you're walking to the local places to eat, as there are very few streetlights. Lovely place to stay.

The breakfast was quite good, and the bedroom was clean and spacious. There was hot water, though I would have liked a blanket on the beds. We had just one washcloth, one hand towel, one glass, and one set of body wash, shampoo and body lotion in the twin room. The main issue was being told off by the owner because our train was delayed by over an hour. We were stuck in areas with no signal, so we couldn't let them know earlier that we'd arrive later than expected.
