Remont Oxford Hotel

Breakfast had plenty to choose from: full English, granola or muesli with milk, fruit salad with yoghurt, juice, tea, and coffee. The room, number 22, was clean and comfortable, with a tidy bathroom, fresh bedding, cookies, tea, and hot chocolate. The kettle was in very poor condition, so we didn’t use it. We arrived early at around 12:30 PM and left our bags at reception since check-in starts at 3 PM. Carrying luggage upstairs to the second floor wasn’t easy. The bus stop is a convenient three-minute walk away, and the hotel is about 15 minutes from the city centre by bus. Though rated four stars, it feels closer to a three-star property, with outdated amenities and overall condition. The breakfast was much better than I expected, easily worthy of a 4-star hotel. Our three-bed room was clean, comfortable and spacious, and they provided water along with plenty of tea and coffee. The staff were great too. I was really impressed and would highly recommend it.

The location worked well, and there was plenty of parking both out front and at the back. Reception staff were polite and helpful, and breakfast was included. The buffet tasted good, though items ran out quickly. A few things could use attention: the bathroom had cracked floor tiles and not many toiletries, and the ones provided weren't great quality. The toilet kept running unless I went back to flush it again, and the bathroom door squeaked loudly. Tea and coffee supplies were limited and hadn't been replenished on our second day. Still, it was nice to have breakfast and free parking in such a good spot.

Friendly staff, and the room was warm and clean. Breakfast came with the stay, though it was quite plain and basic. The hotel was relatively inexpensive and an easy trip from the city centre.
