Village Hotel Warrington

Coral made me feel welcome as soon as I arrived at The Village Hotel gym, and the pool and spa area had such a relaxed, positive atmosphere. I think she’s a new staff member. She was lovely, and really enthusiastic about the reformer Pilates and other classes she’s running. She took time to tell me about them, and I’m interested in going. She’s a real credit to the team.

We enjoyed our meals after being seated on time for our 6:00pm to 8:00pm booking at Village Hotel Warrington Pub & Grill. But at about 7:30pm, while we were still having drinks and within our reserved time, we were told to move tables for another party. Our name was written in chalk on a small blackboard on the table. Charlotte, the bar supervisor, made it clear she was in charge and asked us to relocate. Then Mike, the event manager, came over and insisted too. We were effectively pushed off our table before the booking ended. Our two young children were mortified and couldn’t understand why we had to move when we’d done nothing wrong and had a valid reservation. It felt unnecessary, badly handled and very unprofessional. After previous problems with Village, this was deeply disappointing and not the service we expected.

Sam N was really helpful while assisting my partner and me with joining the gym. Sam answered all my questions, explained things clearly and found us some great offers, which made the process stress-free. Thanks again. I’m looking forward to checking out the gym and pool facilities this week.

Our room was beautifully decorated, quiet and comfortable, with a super-comfy bed. At check-in, Gab at reception asked whether we were part of the wedding party. We weren’t, and she quickly switched our room because it had been allocated near the wedding group. The new room was quiet, just as she hoped. Check-in itself was very straightforward. A shame we only stayed one night, I’d definitely come back.
