Barrow Hill Barns

Rob made sure our requests were taken care of, and the milk in the fridge and biscuits waiting for us were such nice touches. The place was immaculate and well stocked, with a great bath as well. It’s a beautiful, secluded spot and made for a lovely, luxurious weekend escape.

From the treehouse deck we spotted bats, deer, rabbits, hares, squirrels, a badger, red kites and loads of other birds. The place is spotless and feels brand new. Driving up, it looks like a shed 🤣, then you round the corner and it’s stunning. Definitely coming back. I

We could happily have stayed for a whole week. It’s such a relaxing place, with a cosy, gorgeous structure and incredible views. The kitchen has everything you need, and that outdoor bath is wonderful. We’ll 100% be back!

We stayed in Farlass (2bed), a spotless place with thoughtful extras like Netflix, board games, a Nespresso machine and a fully equipped kitchen. The heating and showers were excellent, especially for autumn evenings. It’s set in a quiet field with beautiful scenery, and the hosts had useful suggestions for walks and pubs. The Seven Stars pub was a particular highlight. It’s dog-friendly and works for couples or families, with different barn options available. We don’t often revisit places, but we’d gladly return here. We found booking direct more competitive than using Airbnb.
