The Hampshire Hog made a memorable impression, and I’d definitely stay again when I’m in the area. I’ve stayed all over the country, including some proper “Fawlty Towers” places, so I was very impressed. It’s not the kind of big chain hotel I usually stay in. The reception and bar staff were lovely, the room was amazing, and the food was lovely too. I’d never had a heated bathroom floor before. I also booked rooms for two colleagues, and they’ll be back as well. Thanks for a lovely stay.

At around £100 a night, this hotel is excellent value. The rooms have great equipment and high-end fixtures, and the free round of drinks on arrival was appreciated. Breakfast was so good I’d happily pay £20 for it on its own. Last time I was nearby, I paid £90 for a Premier Inn or Travelodge, and this place is vastly better and just down the road. Check-in is only available until 21:30, which nearly caught me out.

Dog-friendly, with rooms downstairs and no lift to the upper floor. This is a pub with rooms, not a modern hotel. We were there on a freezing weekend, and the bar was cosy by the log fire, though it could get draughty elsewhere in the bar and hotel because of the three doors to the large car park. The pub food was good. It was popular for Sunday lunch, and we really enjoyed the roast beef and roast chicken.

WOW WOW WOW, we’ve found our new favourite place. The restaurant has a beautiful vibe, the service was amazing, and the food was superb. That real fire smell drifting through the air was a divine bonus 🙌

Rachel deserves a special mention for her kindness, attention to detail and friendly energy. She went above and beyond, and we couldn’t have asked for better service. The whole team made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived, and every detail was handled with warmth and care. The hotel was beautiful and relaxing too. We had a wonderful stay and can’t wait to come back. Highly recommended for a special getaway!
