Penny and her husband have made Pear Tree Cottages feel really special. The cottage was pristine, warm, comfortable, and inviting, with thoughtful extras including local produce, toiletries, butter, milk, and coffee. Penny welcomed us so kindly, and even our unusual requests were handled with ease. Nothing felt like too much trouble. The wood burning stove was especially lovely on a wet, chilly weekend in November. We highly recommend Pear Tree Cottages. Thank you, Penny!

Such a clean, well equipped cottage in a beautiful setting, and the host made us feel so welcome. We had a great stay and I can’t wait to come back for another little break.

It was warm and peaceful, with a really nice welcome pack. The place was clean and very well equipped, and there was plenty of useful information left for us. The owners were helpful without hovering. A fabulous place to stay.

This was our third visit, and I’d give the place 100 out of 10 if I could. Penny is friendly and accommodating, and the cottages are great. There’s plenty to do despite the countryside setting: a golf course less than a mile away, Wedmore not much farther with the world famous New Inn, plus Wells and its cathedral. Bath is about an hour away, and Bristol around 70 minutes. We’ll be back.

The hosts were so friendly, and the place was clean, tidy, and clearly well looked after. The kitchen had everything we needed. It’s a lovely base for exploring Somerset and beyond, and we’ll be back.
