Bill was brilliant, really helpful and quick to answer any questions, and even helped us with the car when it wouldn't start as we were leaving. We had the attic room, which was lovely down to the details, with a nice morning view over the abbey. The prices seemed very good too. Can't wait to visit again, would definitely recommend. Thanks for a great stay.

Breakfast was outstanding, and the rooms were very clean with everything provided. The staff are lovely and the service is excellent. Bill makes an effort to get to know his guests, too. I'd definitely stay here again.

We were made to feel very welcome by friendly, helpful hosts. The room was clean and comfortable, the bed was comfy, and the facilities were excellent. A lovely home cooked breakfast, a quiet neighbourhood and free street parking all added to the stay. Highly recommended.

Room 8 in the attic was lovely and helped us feel calm and welcome, with tea and coffee making facilities and free Netflix. Argyle House is in a great spot just above The Royal Crescent, with an easy walk to Whitby Harbour in either direction. We stayed three nights. The umbrellas by the front door were a thoughtful touch, and the customer service showed how much they care. Breakfast was lovely and very high quality, with a nice atmosphere in the restaurant. Bill, Jo and Sarah went out of their way for us, and we'd definitely recommend staying here.

We found a clean room that was just right for a couple of nights, and the town's main area is all an easy walk away. Street parking comes with permits, but spaces are very limited. It was half term and really busy, so once we found a nearby spot we didn't dare move the car. The owner was super friendly, and the breakfast he made was amazing, with locally sourced food.
