Pannett House Bed and Breakfast

Everything was well organized, and the owners were brilliant and very helpful. We’ve just returned from Whitby after a fantastic stay at Pannett House. Our third-floor room was spacious and very clean, with quality bedding and everything we needed. The house is lovely and the location is great.

The house is gorgeous, full of original features and lovely furniture, and the location made it easy to walk to the Harbour and other attractions. Our room was spotless, with one of the comfiest beds, and breakfast came in a generous, delicious portion. Lee gave us such a warm welcome when we arrived late on Friday. We’ll definitely be back, and I can’t recommend the place enough. Thanks for a wonderful stay! Xxx

This was my third visit to Pannett House. It’s in a great spot, the bedrooms are comfortable, and the breakfasts are fantastic. Lee is a brilliant host.

We had a wonderful stay and will definitely come again. Lee was a perfect host, warm and welcoming, and made us feel at home straight away. For the price, it felt like a real treat and a bargain for what you get. Our Deluxe Room was generous in size, with high ceilings and a four-poster bed. The bed and pillows were incredibly comfortable, and we slept better than we have in ages. The bathroom was small but suited us fine, and having that extra bedroom space was a good trade-off. Everything was clean and tidy, with fresh towels, a kettle, tea, coffee, hair dryer and TV. Lee’s guidebook answered likely questions, covered breakfast and had a nice section on Pannett himself. Breakfast was lush, with lots of choice. The Full English really does live up to the reviews. The house’s period furniture also suits its history, and we enjoyed seeing the Victoria Bathroom on the first floor after asking Lee about it as we were leaving. He was happy to show us. Most of it dates from the 1800s, apart from the shower, and it’s a lovely bit of historical architecture, a hidden beauty in the house and Whitby. It’s only about a five-minute walk to the front and shops. Parking worked out fine for us just down the road in Permit Zone W. There’s usually a small charge for a permit from Lee, but ours was free because we had a disabled badge. Thanks again for a lovely stay and five-star service.
