Grantley House

The rooms were cute and cosy, with really comfortable beds, and the service was friendly. Breakfast had a good variety and was freshly cooked when we came down each morning. The staff sorted out car parking easily, and security was good. The location is lovely, no more than a five-minute walk to the seafront and its shops. Friendly staff and good service!

The bathroom was small, so I’ve held back a star, but otherwise it was a lovely couple of days in Whitby. We booked late and stayed at the Grantley. The staff were friendly, the room was decent, and breakfast was spot on. It was well worth the money and I’d recommend it.

The host was lovely, though it seemed like one person was running the place. My room was clean but very small, and the shower room was small too. Breakfast was below average.

We spent hours stuck outside because neither key worked, the front door key or the electric fob for our bedroom. Nobody answered the phone, so we ended up calling the local police. We still haven't received an apology.
