There was loads of room, including a ground-floor bedroom and toilet that would work well for someone with a disability. The lounge, bedrooms and kitchen were all lovely, and there was space to park two cars. The price was great for a weekend break. One thing that would help is a sign at the rear corner of the property, since sat nav takes you to the front road instead of the back road entrance. All in all, a great place to stay, thank you.

We've stayed here for years and usually had a wonderful time, but this visit ended that for us. A problem with a bed caused damage to our property. The owner was rude and refused to cover it, even though she has public liability insurance. She blamed us, saying we'd jumped on the bed, and didn't seem interested in hearing our side. After being treated that way, we won't be back.

Mews Cottage was very clean and had plenty of space for all six of us. We stayed two nights, and it suited what we wanted perfectly. Its location was spot on for us. Some people might find the surrounding banks a bit difficult, but they weren't a problem for our group.

We had a fantastic stay, then got accused of breaking a bed and taking six mugs, with a £300 charge threatened. We hadn't done either. Be cautious of the owner's tactics to bring in more money. It felt dishonest and deceitful.

The cottage itself was nice enough, but our stay in cottage number 1 was spoiled by a filthy vehicle that seemed abandoned in one of the two designated bays. That meant elderly visitors couldn't use the space, and we couldn't get to the seating area. Sykes cottages knew about it, and presumably the owner did too, but we ended up having to report it to the Police ourselves.
