Starfish

I paid for a sea-view apartment on Royal crescent, but while I was on my way there, the agent called to say I'd been moved because the hot water and plumbing weren't working and a plumber had to be called. The replacement was on a side street, overlooking a cafe and other buildings. I wasn't offered a choice to reject it and get a refund. After I complained, I heard nothing further from the agent, so I don't know whether the plumbing problem was fixed. I DID NOT GET WHAT I PAID FOR!! I wish I'd checked the reviews first. I certainly wouldn't have booked with these people. DISGUSTED!!

The location was brilliant, and the owners were helpful and quick to answer our questions. We loved the big rooms and very comfy beds, and we'd stay again.

We had a really nice four-bedroom place for our weekend break, with two bathrooms, a small kitchen and a decent lounge. It was very clean and good value. There's a car park close by, though outside winter you have to pay, and the prices aren't too bad. We'd definitely stay here again.

The location was the only good thing. I booked this place because it had private parking, but that wasn't available. We ate out the first night, then bought food to cook the next evening. The oven was so dirty with oil, and filled the room with smoke, that we had to throw the food away. I thought the smoke alarm might go off, so we ate out again and had another expense. I got no response from the company.
