We’re still here and have seriously thought about going home. The place feels like nobody is looking after it, and the whole stay has been awful. We’re usually easy to please, but we’ve had to buy towels and bedding at Sainsbury's after finding the previous guests’ dirty towels, slept-in beds, spit in the bathroom sink, a full rubbish bin and dirty crockery. I had to clean up and strip the beds myself. There was no welcome pack, so we didn’t have a car permit and had to move the car twice to avoid a fine. We contacted someone several times. They were polite, but nothing came of it, and there was no WiFi password either. The stairs are incredibly steep, and the laminate was impossible for our dog to manage, so we had to get a rug to stop it slipping. Think twice if you have pets or someone elderly or infirm with you. We’re looking forward to going home, but don’t want to spoil the trip for the kids.
