Seamill House Hotel

We stayed from the 1st to the 2nd of February. The hotel is beautiful, and our large room was warm, comfortable, and nicely decorated. The bar, dining room, and food were amazing. All the staff were nice and pleasant. I’ll stay here again.

I arrived for a work trip on Remembrance Day, and after chatting with the staff, they found out I was a Military Veteran. They immediately upgraded me to a balcony suite for free, gave me a complimentary bottle of wine, and left a personalised card saying, “Thank-you for your service.” I was blown away and actually welled up when I read it. I’d only experienced this kind of thing in the USA before, but the heartfelt respect and hospitality in Scotland gave me goosebumps. I can’t thank Andrea and the staff enough for their overwhelming generosity. The hotel was also offering veterans meals at half price all day. I had the Nepalese lamb, which was wonderful, a maze of flavours that are still swirling around my mouth. The Nepalese chef even came over for a chat about it. Awesome! What a lovely hotel, and what amazing staff. The owners can be proud of the service they provide, the hotel is clearly in safe hands. It’s warm and friendly, and the decor is spot on, unlike some other hotels I’ve stayed in. My room was five star. I highly recommend staying here. The balcony view over the Isle of Arran while I relaxed with a glass of wine was amazing. Note to self: book a couple of nights here for me and the wife, she’ll love it. Can’t wait for breakfast! 😁

We stayed overnight with my husband and had a lovely time. The room was large and beautifully decorated, with a stunning sea view and a roll top bath in the bathroom. We also booked dinner, and the food was absolutely delicious. The staff were welcoming and very attentive. I couldn’t fault the place. Would I come back? Definitely. I’ll return when the weather gets a bit warmer.

Something’s wrong with how this hotel is run. They accidentally charged me twice for a recent stay, and I accepted that it was a mistake. They admitted it was a system error on their part, but two months and three or four phone calls later, plus three emails chasing the refund, I’m still waiting for the £415 they owe me. I’ve had to raise a bank dispute, which has been stressful, and I’ve provided clear evidence. Not one member of staff or the Manager has replied to my emails. Be careful if anything goes wrong here, because there seems to be no customer service, especially when the mistake is theirs.
