The Mendip Hills were easy to explore from here, and we got great walking tips plus packed lunches for our hikes. We also loved the afternoon tea and homemade cake. Breakfast was amazing. We spent our first two nights in the Garden Room, then moved to the Barn Room when we extended our stay to four nights. Both rooms were comfortable, stylishly designed, and furnished to a high standard. The whole B&B is beautifully restored and spotlessly clean. Rachel and Robert made us feel so welcome, and were helpful and attentive throughout. This is one of the best places we’ve stayed. We’d happily return.

We came for my mum’s birthday weekend, and it turned out to be unforgettable. My husband, who was babysitting, even got a lovely evening meal at Westbury cross house. We used Somerset chauffeur service to get to Bath, then took the bus to wells for a nice meal. There’s private parking in front of the house, and a bus stop right next door. Everything was spotless, from the well-equipped, cute rooms to the rest of the place. The food was delicious, from the cakes through to breakfast, and the selection felt like it had everything we could want. Communication was easy from beginning to end, and the service was excellent. It felt like such good value that they could really charge more. If you’re visiting Somerset, I’d plan the trip around staying here.

Breakfast had a great selection, and they catered really well for gluten free. Robert welcomed us with malt loaf, and even had gluten free macaroons for my wife. The rooms were immaculate and stylish, with beds that were incredibly comfortable. The whole place had such a relaxed feel, which made our family stay just right. One of the best bed and breakfasts we’ve ever stayed at. An easy five stars, and I’d highly recommend it.

The light supper menu was a real help with kids who needed babysitting. We also appreciated having fresh milk ready for morning tea. Rachel and her husband looked after us so well. Nothing felt like too much trouble. Loved it!

We had some lovely, interesting chats, and dinner at the Westbury Inn just around the corner was great too. The stay deserved all the praise it gets. The room and building were spotlessly clean, and the bed was super comfy. Breakfast was generous and delicious, and the homemade Anzac biscuits in the room were sublime. It all started with a warm welcome, a freshly brewed cuppa and delicious homemade cake. Such an enjoyable stay, thank you!
