The Chalford House Hotel

We had a fabulous stay, thanks to the lovely, helpful staff and excellent food. The bungalow was cosy, warm and welcoming, with nice decor and everything we needed, though compact. I would have preferred to stay in the main hotel. The mattress was the one real drawback, very uncomfortable with a dip in the middle where we rolled together. It's a lovely old hotel, and I'd definitely stay again. x

I stayed overnight after working nearby, and the beds were really comfortable. The rooms and the rest of the hotel were clean and well maintained, with friendly, attentive staff. It's a few minutes' walk from several pubs and restaurants. We went out for dinner, but breakfast the next morning was excellent and they were happy to cater for everyone's needs. The free WiFi was strong and reliable. The hotel has had a lot of renovation and improvement work, and the rooms are well equipped, some with wet rooms. Highly recommended.

There's a deck out back where you can relax with a drink from the bar. Some of the rooms are in a separate lodge about 10 metres behind or beside the hotel, and they're nice and quiet. Friendly staff, a friendly dog and a great place to stay.
