The seafront location and view were lovely, and breakfast was nice once we got it. But we had to ask what the system was, while the waitress stood behind the bar watching us instead of coming over to explain. The room itself was spacious, but dirty, with hard bits of food on the side and no vacuuming done. It also felt very tired and shabby. The sofa bed looked ready for the skip. It needs a complete refurbishment, which is a shame given the location.

Free parking was a welcome bonus, and I liked being able to check in online. The room was clean, and the staff were friendly. The bed was comfortable apart from the middle, where one mattress sat slightly higher than the other on the linked double. It was nice to have a bath, though it took ages to fill. I wasn’t happy that payment was taken a day early when the booking said I still had time to cancel.

The food was delicious and the staff were so friendly. Our room was lovely and big, with a fantastic shower and a really comfy bed. A wonderful place to stay, and I’ll definitely be back!

Breakfast had lots of choice and was freshly cooked. We felt really welcome, and the location was ideal. The room was comfortable and clean.

6/10
The rooms are spacious and lovely, with comfy beds and everything you need. The staff were friendly, and the food was nice enough. We used to love coming here when my son was younger, but this visit was disappointing because the bar had closed by 9pm, possibly earlier. The bar area could do with an update too. Its carpets are very old and worn, and didn’t seem to have been vacuumed.
