We're here now with our dog Vincent, and the hotel is lovely. It's a one-minute walk to the dog-friendly beach, and the bed is super comfy. Scott, Judith and Bazil are amazing, friendly and accommodating. Vincent and their dog Bazil have said hello. This morning we had a problem with our room key. They sorted it within an hour and fitted a new lock. When we came back that afternoon, there was a box of fudge and a box of shortbread for the inconvenience. That's Scott and Judith, just a lovely couple. Breakfast was lovely too, and they even gave us a doggy-bag breakfast for Vincent. We'll definitely return, and this is going to become an annual dog holiday. Vincent says the sausage was delicious.

I'm writing this for my mother. She said the staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms were lovely and clean, and the food was fantastic. She couldn't find anything to fault and would definitely recommend staying here.

The entertainment was okay on a couple of nights, but awful the rest of the time. After returning this year following last year's visit, we found the hotel had really gone downhill. The portions were poor, and the food was either undercooked or overcooked. Some reception staff were very well-spoken and couldn't do enough for us, so hats off to them, but other staff were ignorant. I can't understand how the place gets a five-star rating. I'd rate it a one, won't return, and wouldn't recommend it.

If I could, I'd give it zero stars. The staff were incredibly rude and obnoxious, and the room was filthy. The hallways to the rooms were so narrow you couldn't swing a cat. We checked out a day early because of the poor service and lack of cleanliness, but they refused to compensate us or even apologise for the awful experience. I'd rather sleep in a tent under the pier. There are much nicer options around. Don't waste your money unless stained bed sheets, unknown marks on the walls, carpet burns and being spoken to like dirt sound appealing. Then this might actually be the place for you.

The sea, pier and crazy golf views from our room were lovely, and the hotel’s right by the seafront, Winter Gardens and pier. The shopping centre gives you a quick route to the bus station and a large supermarket, and there’s a good ice cream place across the road. My mother and I felt we’d had a nice break for the price on our five-day self-drive trip with Daish's in early May 2025. We enjoyed the different evening meals and found the waiting staff pleasant and helpful. Mum doesn’t eat cooked breakfast, so the morning choices felt limited to me, but the dining room has a fantastic view. Rachel and Linda at reception were lovely. Mum mentioned her birthday in passing to Linda, and later found a card and wrapped shortbread waiting at our table. That was a thoughtful touch. Our compact room was on the third floor, room 307 I think. It had a double bed, which Mum thought was bigger than hers at home, and a single. Three people would have been cramped. The metal bed frames gave us somewhere to store cases, though they were easy to stub your toes on, and Mum came away with a bruise. The room and bathroom were relatively clean when we arrived. I skipped the shower because I worried water would get everywhere, as it was a tray with a curtain. Mum tried it and said it was okay, though the head couldn’t be moved, which I don’t like. She had asked for a walk-in shower on the booking form and got one. A coach party arrived just before us, so reception and the coffee shop were crowded. The luggage handler kindly offered to take our cases up too, which we appreciated. There are two lifts, but they’re slow, so leave extra time before meals. The service lift is larger and can get you to the bar, reception or dining room faster when available, though you have to pull both doors open and shut yourself, and some people may find them heavy. There isn’t much waiting space by the dining room, so arriving exactly at mealtime can mean a short wait. I did miss having a lounge where we could sit comfortably and read or relax. The slow lifts and tight spaces in the room and by the dining room are why I’ve given it four stars instead of five. I think I’d stay again if I visit Weston.
