The breakfast was excellent value at £8. I had a full English and a full cafetière of coffee, enough for two cups, while my partner had a big pot of tea. I’ve never had that at a B&B before. The cooked food was delicious, Sam is a great cook, and the fried bread was a nice surprise. Sam was a wonderful host, and this was the best of all the B&Bs we’ve stayed in. We had the loft room, number 7. Its low sloping ceiling could be a challenge, but we liked its character. We moved the chairs and small table to the front of the bed to give ourselves more headroom when sitting down. The little fridge was a welcome surprise and handy for storing snacks for our long hike. The bathroom was spotless, and the shower was hot with strong water pressure, just what we needed after a 12 mile walk.

I booked the night before during the off season because the reviews were good, and they were well deserved. Everything was convenient, clean, tidy and organised. I arrived later than expected, and someone came out to meet me and point out the best place to park. The room was in good working order and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and had everything I wanted. I’ll definitely return.

I chose this place because, unlike the other places I checked, the reviews didn’t mention noise. At bedtime, around 10:30 or 11, it was pretty much silent, as it’s away from the main road. The host was helpful and very friendly, breakfast was nice, and the price was pretty good. I had the small double with en suite, room 4. My only small complaint is that the mattress felt a little lumpy. It didn’t disturb my sleep, but I could feel it. A decent thick mattress cover would sort it, and then I’d give the room five stars.

The full fry was cooked to perfection, and the room was fresh and immaculately clean. The host was attentive and gave us a very warm welcome. The location is brilliant too. We only booked for one night and hadn’t planned to come back to Weymouth, but we are now, and we’ll book here again. I don’t usually write reviews, but this place is a little gem. If you’re hesitating, just book, you won’t be disappointed.
