Harbour House

Harbour House is quietly situated but just a few steps from the Harbour, seafront and town centre, which is ideal. Our cosy room was nicely decorated, spotless and well equipped. Gaynor and Alan welcomed us warmly and were perfect hosts during our 2 night stay. There was a fantastic range at breakfast, with something to suit everyone. Highly recommended.

Breakfast was outstanding, and we really enjoyed sitting around the table chatting with the other guests. Gaynor and Alan were perfect hosts, friendly and full of stories, especially Alan's tales about his jobs. The room was clean and spacious. We were very impressed and will definitely come back sometime. Thank you, love Sarah and Stuart.

Room 6 was spacious and warm, with everything we needed, including power block plugs with USB A/B/C on both sides of the bed. The shower was splendiferous, and even had an efficient shower wiper! We stayed 4 nights, and Gaynor and Alan were great hosts. Their breakfast was so filling we didn't need lunch. Weekends in summer might be a little noisier because the hotels in this area are listed buildings with single glazing, but it didn't particularly bother us.

We loved having breakfast with the other guests, hearing Alan's fascinating stories and enjoying Gaynor's delicious cooking. If you're lucky, Alan might even put on a 'show and tell' with some of their collected goodies. The breakfast table is especially fun if you like vintage things. Before our four-day trip, the hotel promptly emailed details about breakfast slots, check-in times, parking and local restaurants, which was thoughtful. We arrived by train before 3 pm and had let Gaynor know in advance. She happily checked us in early so we could leave our luggage and freshen up before heading into town. The bedroom and bathroom were clean and lovely, with thoughtful touches like fans and mini fans. The room was bright and airy, and we didn't feel hot. The location is quiet at night, just off the main street, with the harbour, town centre, bus stops, fun fairs and beaches all within walking distance. Gaynor and Alan were welcoming, accommodating and easy to communicate with. They lent us brand new beach towels and looked after our luggage on the last day so we could explore Durdle door without worrying about it. Thanks for making our stay extra enjoyable. We'd like to book with you again for our next Weymouth trip.
