The Jubilee Hotel East- with Spa Facilities

Our sea-view room was a good size and had a lovely outlook. Even on a very hot day it cooled quickly with the window open. The building is fabulous, just what you’d expect of a listed property, and the seafront location is beautiful. Cleanliness let it down, though. One towel had a poo stain and the room generally wasn’t very clean. There was tea and coffee but no spoon, and the body-wash dispenser was empty.

My friend and I went for a spa day, and it was well worth it. The place was clean and beautiful, with a calm atmosphere and a warm welcome from the lovely staff. Lily gave me the best massage I’ve ever had. It was enjoyable and has also helped with strain and tension. Brilliant.

Chloe was our first point of contact and was warm and welcoming from the start. We had room 11 at the front, which was clean and nicely decorated, with a good-sized bathroom and a decent shower. The on-site parking was very congested, so we parked on a nearby road. The main problem was the entertainment noise: the music bingo made the floor vibrate. When we couldn’t take it any longer, Chloe promptly came to help and offered us another room. The music was still audible there, but less thumping. After her shift, Lizzie, the night staff member, was just as apologetic and helpful. By the time we’d gone back and forth, it was 11 pm, when the music had to stop. Bliss. Then at 8:15 am we woke to bass from the breakfast music. The staff couldn’t have been more understanding, but the noise was unbearable, and we wouldn’t return. It wasn’t the relaxing stay we’d hoped for.

When another hotel cancelled our booking at the last minute, we came to this lovely place right on the beach. It was hot and busy, but the staff worked tirelessly to check people in, park cars and keep guests happy. They had one room left, a gorgeous en-suite with a stunning sea view, and it had everything we needed. We felt at ease as soon as we arrived, and liked it so much we stayed another night. You can see the beach and ocean from bed. There’s on-site parking and valet service, or they can offer a street permit if parking isn’t available. The place has a fun, friendly, family feel, and plenty to do even on a rainy day, including a restaurant, bar, spa, jacuzzi, escape rooms, darts and karaoke. Everyone made us feel like family and created such a happy atmosphere. Carly gave me a 10/10 spa massage and helped me relax. Josh’s lovely singing and joyful spirit lifted everyone, and he made amazing cocktails. Ricky at the bar and restaurant always served with a smile, and Nadine was friendly at the bar and recommended some great drinks. Chloe and Lorraine at reception handled a lot and kept everything running smoothly. Thanks to everyone else too, in case we’ve forgotten anyone. If you want an easy, stress-free, chilled holiday with kind people who are happy to help, this is the place. We’ll be back. Love, Room 208 💗
