The town and train station are both about a 15-minute walk away, and we took the train to Aidensfield for a lovely afternoon out. Back at the house, Harry and Zillah have made their holiday home feel warm and welcoming, with everything thought of. There are lots of books, including a swap shelf upstairs. We had a really good stay and I’d happily recommend it.

We loved Whitby and made good use of the food recommendations. The house itself is gorgeous, full of charm and clearly furnished with care. It was comfortable, with shelves lined with books, and just a short stroll from the station and town centre. We also appreciated the welcome hamper. Highly recommend.

It’s an easy walk to Whitby Abbey and the beach, and the station is only about ten minutes away on foot. The house was such a lovely find, beautifully decorated and welcoming. We were glad it’s dog friendly too. Had a lovely stay and will be telling friends about it!

The enclosed garden was great for our pet, and the beds were really comfortable. We had everything we needed and could walk into the centre easily. The bath was a great extra. One thing we missed was a place to sit in the bedrooms with a mirror for doing hair or makeup. Only one room had a mirror, and it was quite high. Apart from that, we really enjoyed staying at Owsy street.

We had a lovely stay and would book again. It was quiet but close to the centre, parking was easy, and the place was extremely comfortable, immaculate and well equipped. A fabulous base in Whitby, highly recommended.
