Hillcrest Guesthouse

Breakfast was plentiful, hot, fresh, and brought to the room on time. You order it by 8pm the day before. The room was refreshed daily, and the rooms were a good size and very clean. Laura and Greig were lovely, as were the other staff we met. They even had a loo brush, which you don't normally see and which always makes me wonder why places leave them out. Definitely a five-star stay. I'd come back.

Free on-site parking was a real plus, and the rooms were lovely and cosy. The tea and coffee facilities were great too. Breakfast came in a basket to the door at the time you wanted, with fresh fruit and your own little bottle of juice. Really nice. Great location, and we'd stay again on our next trip to Whitby. Definitely recommend it.

Breakfast arrived right on time as requested and was great. The room was clean, the beds comfortable, and I have no complaints. It's within walking distance of central Whitby, though the hill back up from town is fairly steep. Anyone who finds walking difficult might prefer the bus or a taxi. I'd recommend staying here.

There's on-site parking, which is great since lots of places don't offer it. Entry to the house was by a code sent in a text. The rooms and bed were extremely comfortable, and breakfast was more than enough. You pre-order it and it gets brought to your room at the time you request. Contact the host if you need more food, as that's no problem. It's about a ten-minute downhill walk into Whitby centre, but remember you'll have the hill to climb back up after hours walking around town. If you're considering booking, try contacting the B&B directly since that may save you money compared with a comparison site.
