The super king bed was really comfortable, and the room was spotless with a lovely bathroom. One thing that would help a lot is a sign with the property's name at the front or back, as it was hard to find.

I had such a lovely birthday treat here. The room was spacious and romantic, with a four-poster bed and a freestanding bath, and there's a beautiful garden guests can use. The host was great and the location was fabulous. Highly recommend it.

The entrance to Thistlebank Townhouse is on Walker Street, one block north of where Google Maps places it, so the map location is slightly off. Nathan was warm and sociable, but always respected our privacy and only came into the room if invited. We mostly saw him in the morning or evening, wearing his favourite New Jersey ice hockey cap. Whitby is famously linked to the Romanian vampire Dracula, and the Romanian word "dracul" means "devil" in English. So, Nathan must be the vampire you were looking for!

Nathan was a lovely host, around if you needed him while still giving you space to feel at home. I really liked this quirky, beautiful townhouse, and its spot near the town was perfect for a stay.
