Lismore Guest House

After a six-hour drive from Upminster, we were made to feel at home from the moment the door opened. They upgraded us to a bigger room, which made for a wonderful stay. I’ll definitely book again.

Brian gave us such a warm welcome, and the hosts were fantastic. From our room, the view across the sea and marina was beautiful at night, with the sunset and picturesque skyline creating a very romantic feel. The room also had a separate bathroom with a bath and shower, plus its own separate toilet, which was an extra bonus. Breakfast was delicious. Our only complaint is that the stay was too short. We’ll be back on our next Lake District adventure. It’s a perfect place to stay.

Breakfast was a lovely surprise, with a full English, cereal, fruit, yogurt, and drinks. Our room was cozy, spotless, and had everything we needed, including a coffee machine, kettle, tea, milk, and sugar. It was quiet at night, so we slept really well. The train station and supermarket are close by, and parking on the street was easy. Brian and Claire were friendly and helpful, and the whole apartment was clearly well cared for. We’d happily recommend it and come back.

We had a lovely large room overlooking the sea, and the host was very attentive. Breakfast in the conservatory was good, and they were happy to serve it early for guests setting off on the C2C cycle route. There’s also secure storage for bikes. A great place to stay while cycling.
