I’ve stayed here a couple of times recently for work in the area and couldn’t recommend it more. Michael is a lovely host, really friendly and helpful. The rooms are very nice and clean, and breakfast was great. Honestly, I can’t fault the place and would recommend it to anyone.

The seaside is perfect for a stroll, and our room was spotless and very comfortable. My partner and I had a wonderful weekend and couldn’t have picked a better spot. Michael greeted us warmly when we arrived, and he was friendly, welcoming and full of useful information. We’re already looking forward to another visit and will definitely book again.

The phone service was shockingly bad. I called to ask someone in the F&B department about food service because I needed to find out if it would be safe with my allergies. The man on the phone asked, “Why are you calling about this on a Friday afternoon?” and then hung up.

After we had to leave an awful Airbnb, Michael welcomed us warmly to York House Hotel, even though we’d only booked a few hours before arriving. It’s a lovely family run place in a perfect location. The bed was remarkably comfortable, the room spotless, the hosts incredibly friendly and breakfast delicious. We felt so welcome and will return whenever we get the chance. I can’t fault our stay at York House Hotel. Don’t wait, just book it.

It’s a lovely place to stay, just a three minute walk from the seafront. It isn’t cheap, but you get a very comfortable night, a nice room, a great shower in the private bathroom and a fabulous breakfast. Michael was so welcoming, and even left a complimentary bottle of fizz in the fridge as a surprise when we arrived. I’d love to go back.
