Maria was so kind when I arrived with a scratch on my rental car and was worrying about what the repair might cost. The people around there were the kindest I've ever met. I'd recommend staying if you're in the area for work or pleasure.

My dad was left stranded and heartbroken at a service station after driving five hours to visit from the other end of the country. He'd booked two nights and called to say he'd arrive around 11pm, but was told check-in ended at 10pm and the person had work at 5:30am, so couldn't stay longer. They hung up, and when he called back to ask what he could do, they kept hanging up on him. No one answers the phone, and when they do, they're incredibly rude. The whole experience was awful. Shocking service, wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy.

I lived with her for two months. She's a really friendly, nice woman, almost like my mom. Best accommodation in Newcastle.

The bed was really comfortable and the price was great. Maria gave us a fantastic welcome, and she's good company with plenty of interesting things to talk about. The home was extremely clean.

Friends stayed here when they came to visit me. It seemed really homely, and the drive to the city centre was about 15-20 minutes.
