The cooked breakfast was delicious and fresh, and the breakfast chef was polite and welcoming. Having the social room for breakfast worked well for us, and the beds were super comfortable. The location also suited us since we were driving everywhere, with a Wetherspoons next door, plus an Asda Express, garage and Mcds nearby. The room got very hot without air con, but the fan was a godsend. We also ate and had a couple of drinks at the Wetherspoons, which closed at 11pm despite Google listing 12.30am. We had to leave at 8am, so breakfast mattered. We arrived at 6.58am and asked if we could sit down while waiting for it to start at 7. We were told no and had to stand in the corridor until exactly 7. Since it was buffet and self service, the refusal felt petty. We laughed about it, but it was a strange start. The hotel staff were friendly, but from 11pm on Saturday we got three knocks at the door asking us to be quiet, the last at 12.30am. We'd joined two friends and one child in their room to catch up. There was no music, nobody was drunk, and we were just chatting and laughing. We were told the noise carried to the breakfast room window and that hotel workers needed to sleep. It felt more like a boarding school than a hotel. We were in bed by 1am, then woke at 2.30am to people singing, dancing and shouting in the corridors. That didn't bother us. It was a Saturday night and lots of people had booked for social events. There were families there for the same child based event over the weekend, and we weren't the only ones who saw this petty behaviour. It was embarrassing. I understand complaints about a loud party with music and shouting, but we were four adults and one older child talking and laughing until 12.50am. The biggest cobweb I've ever seen was beside the bedside unit, which points to poor basic housekeeping. The room had marks on the walls that I couldn't identify, and the outside ashtrays were full to the brim from the first day to the last. The kitchen bin was emptied halfway through our stay, but no liner was put in. We would stay again only if we absolutely had to. For a weekend away we want to relax and have fun, not be told off and embarrassed like naughty children.

The breakfast was amazing, and there were vending machines for grabbing food on the go. Kids can also borrow board games and bring them back later. We stayed for one night and really enjoyed it. The rooms and bathrooms were clean, the staff were up to the mark, and the beds were comfortable. Parking at the hotel was limited, but there was plenty next to the facility at Wetherspoon club. Happy with our stay.

I stayed at this hotel for a whole year and appreciated the service from all the staff. The rooms were clean, the beds very comfortable, and breakfast was fresh and hot with friendly staff. I'd happily recommend the hotel to business users and families.

We had a Premier Plus room with a good sized layout, pleasant decor and a decent shower. It also came with a few extras, including a fridge and coffee machine. Nearby you've got a Wetherspoons next door, McDonald's across the road, and an Asda Express with a petrol station.

I was in newcastle for work and stayed here for a night. The room was comfortable and the staff were accommodating. A particular thank you to the male receptionist, who came to change my sheets himself late in the evening after I spotted a stain. Margaret was also very helpful at breakfast and made sure I had enough vegetarian food.
