St Magnus Bay Hotel

The rooms were clean and spacious, with everything we needed, though they felt a little dated. We had a lovely two-night stay in Hillswick, with friendly staff, a great little pub, and wonderful meals. It also made a good base for hiking and sightseeing nearby. Definitely worth a visit.

The owners are so friendly, and the food is great. Guests mingle with them in the residents pub, swapping stories and travel tales. There are some renovations going on and older parts of the hotel, which is a great old pile, but the scenery is amazing. It's a fantastic spot to get away from the city and experience Shetland life. In the end, you won't want to leave.

The food is freshly prepared and delicious, and the staff did so much to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. We got a great welcome when we arrived, and everything about St Magnus Bay feels warm and welcoming. We didn't want to leave and definitely plan to return.

The ocean view from our window was the best, and the rooms were comfortable. The food was amazing, and the staff treated us with old-fashioned respect and kindness. Better than the Ritz! It's a hidden gem at the end of the earth, where you're treated like a king. I only wish we didn't live on the other side of the world, or we'd be back sooner.
