We've stayed here three or four times over the past few years with our two young children and have never had any issues. The staff have always been friendly, helpful and courteous, and the rooms are consistently clean. Breakfast is great, though it can get busy around the usual 8:30 to 9:30 rush, as it does at most hotels. The bar, breakfast and dining areas are all in one nice space, with large screens for sport. There's good parking with plenty of spaces, and we've never struggled to find one. The corridors form a big square, so some rooms are quite a walk away. There are lifts to the ground and first floors. There are lots of EV chargers, which I think are 11 kWh, including a couple of high speed ones, so check before you arrive. It's just outside the town centre, maybe five minutes by car, between car dealerships and a couple of manufacturing units. A petrol station and Starbucks are a two minute walk away, and the cinema and restaurants are a three minute drive. It hasn't been noisy on the nights we've stayed. There's a small amount of outdoor seating at the front. There's no gym or pool if those are what you're after.

The bed was comfy and the pillows were great. There was a chair and table that worked well for eating or getting some work done. Breakfast was included, but the scrambled eggs had a powdery taste. The room carpet around the bin was stained and needed shampooing. A good, solid hotel.

After five hours on the road with another five still ahead, we were pleasantly surprised by this last minute stop. Parking was ample and free, and the hotel was super clean and well maintained throughout. Reception had one person helping a guest, but another staff member came straight over when we arrived. Our room was spacious, comfortable and well laid out, and the bathroom was large and in perfect condition. The place was very quiet. The bed was only okay for comfort, about three out of five, and the pillows were much the same. Breakfast could be better too: no mushrooms or black pudding, and the hash browns were soggy and soft. Would I come back? Absolutely, especially at the Sunday off season rates. I'd seriously consider it at other times of year too. Excellent value for money.

The rooms were clean, and we found the beds comfortable. The staff were great and very friendly throughout, and we enjoyed dinner at the hotel. We were there while our son was playing football in Wigan. We'd definitely stop again.

Thanks for a great stay. The staff were all lovely, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Overnight charging for the electric car cost £15. Dawn was especially fantastic at arranging gluten free rolls and toast, as well as delicious sausages and hash browns for breakfast. There were gluten free cornflakes too, and the Flora spread was vegan. Soya was the only dairy free milk option, but they had a few herbal teas, so I felt well catered for. I'd highly recommend staying here if you have problems with gluten. Thanks again!
