We tried to get a table on Saturday evening and had no luck. When we came back Sunday, it was empty, so we finally got to try the ales and have a meal. The veg curry and mixed bean and chilli enchiladas were both very good, though they were the only two vegetarian choices on the menu. It’s a cosy, friendly pub, the sort with a fire going, an old overweight dog curled up in the corner and beer pump badges on the walls. Very pleasant, and I’d happily recommend it.

Really enjoyable time here. The food was excellent, the beer was good and the staff were great.

We’ve had lots of meals here and tried plenty of things on the menu. Everything’s been lovely, and you can’t beat proper chips with a meal. Sunday dinner is one of our favourites. We also drop in for the odd pint. The owners are welcoming and good with children, and nothing is too much trouble. Fab little pub, and the big beer garden is great in summer.

The Sunday roast was lovely and fresh, and the prices were competitive. We took our two grandsons, and all enjoyed the lemon cheesecake, tangy and delicious just how I like it. Kevin and Mark were very friendly and had a lot in common with my husband. Being dog friendly was another big plus. We’ll certainly be back for the relaxed, comfortable atmosphere.

We had a few drinks and really enjoyed the night. Amazing hosts!
